Frequencies Used For HAM, GMRS, FRS, MURS, NOAA etc.

GMRS and FRS Frequencies
FRS Does not require a license, but requires use of FRS Accepted radios.
GMRS Requires a license to use and any commercial or GMRS "Type Accepted" radio.
A GRMS License is about $80.00 for 5 years and covers you and your family.
If using GMRS get legal and register here http://wireless.fcc.gov/uls/.
The channels that are marked N.A. are not usable for the service with NA in it.
Simples means single channel point to point communications.
Duplex means you may use a repeater to increase range. If using a repeater channel the input is up 5.00MHz from the receive channel. So if the frequency is 462.550MHz for receive, then you transmit on 467.550MHz.

HAM Frequencies.
HAM radio requires a license and passing a test. To get started in HAM check out http://www.arrl.org/
HAM has many frequencies it can use. The most popular two are "2 meters" which is a VHF range  from 144.00MHz to 147.990MHz and 70cm, a UHF Block from.
2 meters, in general, uses 0.015MHz steps and repeater channels are 0.600MHz above or below the receive frequency.
70cm has repeater inputs 5,00MHz above output, just like GMRS.

2 Meter Ban Plan
144.000 - 144.100 MHz CW only, as restricted by FCC Part 97
144.100 - 144.275 MHz CW and SSB
144.275 - 144.300 MHz CW propagation beacons
144.300 - 144.500 MHz Satellite
144.510 - 144.890 MHz FM repeater inputs (-600 kHz splits) spaced 20 kHz apart and coupled with outputs from 145.110 to 145.490
144.910 - 145.090 MHz Packet and FM simplex
  • Packet channels are spaced 20 kHz apart on the odd frequencies (144.910, 144.930, 144.950, etc.)
  • FM simplex channels are spaced 20 kHz apart on the even frequencies (144.920, 144.940, 144.960, etc.)
145.110 - 145.490 MHz FM repeater outputs (+600 kHz splits) spaced 20 kHz apart and coupled with inputs from 144.510 to 144.890
145.510 - 145.790 MHz FM simplex, digital and satellite spaced 20 kHz apart (145.510, 145.530, 145.550, etc.)
145.800 - 146.000 MHz Satellite
146.010 - 146.385 MHz FM repeater inputs (-600 kHz splits) spaced 15 kHz apart and coupled with outputs from 146.610 to 146.985
146.400 - 146.595 MHz FM simplex spaced 15 kHz apart.
International Simplex Calling Frequency is 146.520MHz
146.610 - 146.985 MHz FM repeater outputs (-600 kHz splits) spaced 15 kHz apart and coupled with inputs from 146.010 to 146.385
147.000 - 147.390 MHz FM repeater outputs (+600 kHz splits) spaced 15 kHz apart and coupled with inputs from 147.600 to 147.990
  • In some areas, 147.000 MHz is coupled with 146.400 MHz as an input instead of 147.600 MHz.
147.405 - 147.585 MHz FM simplex spaced 15 kHz apart
147.600 - 147.990 MHz FM repeater inputs (+600 kHz splits) spaced 15 kHz apart and coupled with outputs from 147.000 to 147.390
